PMMAI earned recognition as an industry association of national status representing the interest of Plastics Machinery manufacturing sector of our country with the Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance & Revenue, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals.
On Tuesday, 30th August ,2022 PMMAI organised a Industry meet for members and suppliers to OEM mainly from IMM side. The meeting was a great success with around 80 participants from across the country.
PMMAI chairman Shri Mahendra Patel welcomed the participants and invited them to join hands with PMMAI and appealed that with each other’s support, confidence, and participation we can lead the PPM to new heights. Mr. Vinay Bansod updated the house about PMMAI activities since inception benefits to industry, challenges and vision for 2047. He also touched upon membership and fee structure.
Mr. A K Gupta from TPM updated the house about the ADD & Trade remedies. He briefed them about challenges, importance of data number game in representations and how the system works in government for ADD cases. He motivated industry to strengthen association by joining and participating with live examples from his experience on subject.
Presentation was followed by Q/A session by industry members present and thereafter Tushar Parikh proposed vote of thanks to attendees and Mr. Gupta.
Spirits of members were high and this was the first gathering after couple of years of Pandemic.

Plastics Machinery Manufacturers Association of India (PMMAI) in association with Triune organized a Launch function of their forthcoming event “Indiaplast 2019” on 23rd June, 2017 at Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad. Indiaplast 2019 exhibition is being held from 28th February - 4th March, 2019 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi.
Launch meet was well attended by more than 175 Entrepreneurs from the Plastics Industry including major machinery and auxiliary manufacturers who came over from all over the country.
Program started with the welcome address by the Chairman of the PMMAI Shri Mahendra N Patel. Shri Mahendra Patel briefed the audience about change of venue of Indiaplast 2019 from Pragati Maidan to Expo Centre because of unavailability of required area in Pragati Maidan as it is under demolition and reconstruction. He said - “As the Chairman of PMMAI, it is my moral and professional responsibility to make Indiaplast the best plastics show in India. All the leading plastics machinery manufacturers will be participating with their latest technology and with machine demonstrations including exhibitors from around the world”.
Welcome speech was followed by sharing of views by Shri Raj Kumar Lohia, CMD, Lohia Group on the latest developments about “Indiaplast Exhibition”. He briefed the gathering that Indiaplast 2019 is being organized by the PMMAI in association with Plastasia, a brand of Triune Exhibitors, a renowned professional agency in the field of organizing large industrial exhibitions for over a decade. He said – “This is the show by machine manufacturers who occupy almost 65% area in all exhibitions, we at PMMAI understand all requirements and pains of exhibitors. Our motto will be to provide world class facilities like K & Chinaplas exhibitions.”
Mr. Cyril Periera, MD of Triune Exhibitors highlighted key issues of Indiaplast 2019 including pricing, sponsorship options and facilities required for exhibitors at the exhibition site. A promotional film was also shown which was applauded by the audience.
Mr. Sudeep Sarcar, Vice President, India Exposition Mart briefed the gathering about the world class facilities available at India Expo Centre venue. Mr. Sarcar informed that all the exhibition halls were interconnected; clear height of 10 meters is available for machinery and for mega machinery height of 15 meters is available at their Hall No. 12. Parking for 10,000 cars, cafeterias, resting areas, conference rooms & all the facilities required for an exhibition is available at the venue.
This was followed by a “Question-Answer Session”. Potential Exhibitors and the Media personnel raised their doubts and queries about the venue, visitor promotion, facilities for exhibitors and visitors. These queries were answered by the PMMAI office bearers to their satisfaction.

An open house meeting was organised by PMMAI on 11th August, 2016 at Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad. All members and entrepreneur’s from the PPM industry were invited for the programme for open exchange of views/ suggestions among the industry and to decide a common way ahead forward for the betterment of sector as a whole.
Meeting was attended by around 70 entrepreneurs from all over the country. Open house started with a welcome note by PMMAI Chairman Shri Mahendra Patel and update about the latest activities and achievements of association in last one year.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks from Mr. T S Rajan, Director – PMMAI followed by dinner.

An open house was organised by PMMAI on Wednesday, 15th July, 2015 at Hotel Courtyard Marriott, Ahmedabad. Programme was well attended by more than 70 participants from all over the country. The objective of organising an open house was to provide a common platform for PMMAI members & PPM industry to interact, share ideas and decide a route map for coming years.
Programme started with a welcome note by PMMAI Chairman Shri Mahendra Patel. He stressed the idea that we are not competitors but co-entrepreneurs who will jointly work for a new Brand Image of Indian PPM industry globally on basis of Quality. Shri S V Kabra,- Co-Chairman, PMMAI motivated the industry to join hands and work together. He explained the idea behind formation of PMMAI and that PMMAI is a platform where every member is treated equally irrespective of the size of industry.
Shri Vishvajit Sahay JS (DHI) visited Ahmedabad on 28th May, 2015 to interact with Machinery Manufacturers and have a greater understanding of the Plastics Processing Machinery Sector. He was accompanied by Shri N L Goswami (Sr DHO, DHI). He visited Neoplast, Milacron,Prasad Group & Windsor Extrusion Plant. In spite of hot weather JS showed keen interest in factory visits.
Mr. Sahay wanted to understand all Products related to PPM i.e. IMM, Extrusion, Blow Moulding, Auxiliaries, so in a given limited time frame we managed to take him around all 4 sectors. An Industry interaction programme was organised at Prasad Group. Around 20 people from the industry participated in this interaction programme. PMMAI Chairman Shri Mahendra N Patel made a brief presentation giving details of Industry Size, issues faced by the industry and support required from Government.
On 29th May, 2015 a workshop was organised by DHI & FICCI “Technology Development for Capital Goods: Constraints & the way forward”. Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Anant Geete , Hon’ble Minister (HI & PE). Minister also released the brochure & USB giving details of Scheme by DHI. DHI Scheme has the following objectives:

PMMAI, Chairman Shri Mahendra N Patel Addressed The Gathering At Gandhinagar
A meeting was called by PMMAI on 1st October, 2014 at helipad Ground, Gandhinagar. Around 90 Plastics machinery manufacturers from across the country participated in the meeting.Meeting was called to clear confusions/ speculations relating to shifting of Plastindia 2015 to Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat from Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Present Plastindia 2015 Exhibitors took the tour of the upcoming Exhibition Ground Venue and discussed the merits & demerits related to venue.
Meeting was called off after above & lunch was served to the participants.
The first launch function for PMMAI was organised on 20th July 2013 at Courtyard by Marriott at Ahmedabad. Plastics machinery manufacturers from Ahmedabad & Baroda were invited for launch function.
Program was started with a welcome note by Mr. Tushar Parikh, member PMMAI steering committee. A detailed presentation was given by PMMAI Chairman Shri Mahendra N Patel about Plastics Machinery Industry, opportunities & threats for the industry. Mr. Patel also explained the vision, mission behind the formation of PMMAI.
Khushboo Chandrakant Doshi, Executive Director, Rajoo Engineers Ltd. presented a presentation on newly developed PMMAI website which was officially launched on that day. PMMAI website is user friendly and interactive having all latest means to share information among members.
