FICCI Workshop

On 29th May, 2015 a workshop was organised by DHI & FICCI “Technology Development for Capital Goods: Constraints & the way forward”. Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Anant Geete , Hon’ble Minister (HI & PE). Minister also released the brochure & USB giving details of Scheme by DHI. DHI Scheme has the following objectives:

  • To encourage technology development through joint participation with Academia, Industry R&D institute and Government and facilitate / acquiring the critical technologies.

  • To create common physical infrastructure for enhancing the competitiveness of the local industry, enabling it to withstand the import penetration. (for details dhi.nic.in)Minister was quite positive over advancement of Capital Goods Sector of our country in his inaugural address, and, assured industry of full support from the ministry. In his opening remarks he invited industry to come forward and take benefits of the DHI scheme & make success of 'Make in India' program launched by PM. Workshop was well attended by entrepreneurs from capital goods sector. PMMAI, Textile association, FICCI, DHI made presentations. Workshop concluded with an Industry/ Academia discussion with DHI.
